Accessible Wet Floor Shower Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Bathing Problem:

Ms Smithson had a mink 3 piece bathroom suite that dated back to the 70’s. Consisting of an over shower bath, WC and basin the existing suite also featured a classic glade fawn style 6 x 6 tile that detailed a set of scattered decors, carpet to the floor and a polystyrene ceiling.

In need of a modern update, and wanting to future proof any renovation work making it both stylish and accessible, Ms Smithson visited our Leeds Showroom to scope out her options.

Bathing Solution:

Impressed in the showroom by our selection of choice and the knowledge of More Ability Surveyor and Designer, Garry, Ms Smithson decided that the next course of action would be to invite Garry out to discuss the project in more detail while surveying the existing suite.

Wanting a maintenance free, future proofed concept due to accessibility becoming troublesome, Garry took the time to discuss all the options while offering an expert opinion on which he thought would work best, whether a walk-in shower or a wet floor shower.

Installation Outcome:

Deciding a wet floor shower would be best for meeting Ms Smithson’s long term needs and complimenting the room’s space restrictions, box work was also incorporated into the renovation to conceal all piper work and services for the wall hung basin and WC.

With a bi-folding shower screen to maximise the floor space in the shower area the suite was fully wall boarded in grey marble and complimentary slate grey anti-slip vinyl to the floor.
