Problem:

Mr & Mrs Greenwood-Quy’s existing wet room was tired and outdated. They wanted to update their suite to be safe and accessible for their son who uses a wheelchair, whilst still having modern design.

Solution:

Upon booking a free design appointment online, Mr & Mrs Greenwood were visited at home by More Ability Senior Designer Garry. He made the most of the space within their standard sized wet room by creating a modern and accessible design that is safe to use for the whole family.

Mr & Mrs Greenwood-Quy visited our disabled bathroom showroom in Leeds to select new sanitary ware and finalise their accessible bathroom design with assistance from Garry.

Their new 3-piece accessible wet floor consisted of a concealed cistern toilet, semi-recessed basin, adjustable column shower with double bi-fold screen and heated towel rail.The walls in the wet area were covered with UPVC wall boards and the floor was covered with porcelain effect wood tiles, both providing the suite with a fresh modern look whilst being easy to clean and maintain.

Outcome:

Mr & Mrs Greenwood-Quy’s wet room was transformed into a modern, safe and accessible wet floor shower that didn’t compromise on style.

The short projection semi-recessed basin and double by fold shower screen created additional room for easy wheel-chair access, making the most of the suite’s available space.

The adjustable column shower head allowed the family to change the height of their shower to suit individual bathing needs and preferences.
