Mobility Level Access Shower Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire
Published: 27 June 2019
Bathing Problem:
Mr & Mrs Tidswell had an existing small bathroom that consisted of a P-shaped shower bath, vanity basin unit and a closed couple WC. In perfectly good working order the reason for change was due to issues with mobility and starting to struggle when getting in and out of the existing bath, which was becoming a troublesome task, fraught with risk.
Bathing Solution:
Having visited the William Merritt Disabled Living Centre in the first instance the couple were referred to More Ability as the recommended bathroom solutions specialist in the Yorkshire region. Visiting the property to survey the existing suite was bathroom designer, Andy, who went with a view to helping the couple find the most suitable solution to help solve their bathing problems.
Discussing the project on site, it soon became clear that the only area of concern was the bath, and with that a decision was made to focus on this area only, leaving the rest of the existing suite, vanity basin unit and WC, intact.
Installation Outcome:
Wanting to create a safe and practical easy access solution the bath was removed in order to make way for a mobility low level access shower which would solve all current and future bathing problems. Making good to the walls in the shower area, Andy proposed grey marble wall boards, which would offer a complimentary finish to the entire suite. With a stylish glass screen to conceal water the shower also featured a padded sear and a number of strategically placed grab bars which finished of the safe and stylish suite perfectly.
What Mr & Mrs Tidswell said about more ability:
“Thanks to all staff for courtesy and excellent service - Andy, Joe, Chris, Dave and Steve.”
